Ambulance Services Real Estate Tax Millage

Including 2009, the Cumru Commissioners have not increased the General Fund real estate tax millage in 13 years. The new Ambulance Services real estate tax millage of .18 mill, which will be in a separate fund, will provide $150,000 of revenue to Southern Berks Regional Emergency Medical Services (SBREMS). In turn, Cumru Township residents will be treated as "members" of SBREMS for purpose of receiving ambulance service.

For a home with an assessment of $100,000 the new millage will cost only $18.00. Since a new membership with SBREMS costs $75.00, the Ambulance Services real estate millage provides a membership at a greatly reduced cost. The Cumru Township Boards of Commissioners are proud to be able to provide a new service to Township residents in a cost-effective manner.

If you would like more information about Southern Berks Regional Emergency Medical Services, please check out their website.
