Building Codes
The Cumru Township officially adopted the new statewide building code, officially know as the Uniform Construction Code (UCC).
The UCC set minimum standards for design and construction. The UCC has adopted the International Code Council Family of Codes. For more information on the PA Uniform Construction Code go to: PA L&I Building Code Website.

Throughout the spring and summer seasons as the nice weather rolls in so does the desire to add a few improvements to our properties. With that in mind, the Township of Cumru would like to remind residents that “accessory structures”, including but not limited to sheds, decks, fences, and pools, require permits. Permits involving digging require a PA One Call by state law. Additional information about our permitting process and PA One Call can be found below and at the following link.
